Photo Exhibition Competition
Rules for Aventure Parc’s photo competition "Our forests protect us":
1. Competition organizer
Aventure Parc Wavre is organizing a competition to raise visitor’s awareness of the richness and diversity of nature.
The chosen theme for 2025 is "Our forests protect us".
Photos should be set in undergrowth, clearings, canopies, trunks, roots, forest flora and fauna, and any scene that illustrates the protective role of forests for the environment and living beings.
2. Entering the competition
The photo competition is open to everyone, amateurs and professionals.
Photos must be originals and taken by the participant.
Participation to the competition is free of charge. Participation implies full acceptance of these rules, with no possibility of complain.
3. Duration and timing of the competition
The competition is open from February 20 to March 31, 2025.
The jury will deliberate on April 4, and the 20 best photos will be officially announced on April 8.
The exhibition will take place from May till November 2025 on the site of Aventure Parc in Wavre.
4. Terms and conditions of participation
Participants in the competition may submit a maximum of 3 photos.
Photos can be retouched and enhanced using image processing software such as Photoshop, Lightroom or any other editing tool, as long as the changes respect the authenticity of the captured scene.
They must be sent with a title of maximum 30 characters by e-mail to the following address: info@aventureparc.be before 31 March 2025.
Each photo must be named according to the following structure: Last name-First name-Title
Photos may be in horizontal or vertical format.
Images generated or modified by artificial intelligence (AI) are prohibited.
Photographs must be attached to the e-mail in digital JPEG format, at least 1400px wide or high and must not exceed 5 Mb in size.
If photos are selected by the jury, participants must provide the file in original JPG 300 Dpi format for printing.
The selected photos will be printed on covers measuring 2m40 x 1m35, placed between the trees in the park by Aventure Parc.
The name of the photographer and the title of the photo will also be displayed
5. Jury and selection criteria
A jury appointed by Aventure Parc Wavre will select the 20 best photos, which will be presented anonymously.
Photographs will be judged on three aspects: relevance with the subject, originality and artistic interest.
The jury's decision is irrevocable and cannot be justified under any circumstances.
The winners of the competition will be able to take away the cover of their photos free of charge as from 20 November 2025 and will also receive 2 entrance tickets to the park.
6. Authorization for distribution
The photographs are free of rights and authorized for publication. Participants authorize the organizers to use their photographs without granting any right of compensation.
If the photographs are used for publication, either directly or through a publisher, in the form of magazines, books, videos, CD-ROMs, films, posters, digital files, websites or any other means of distribution, the photographer's name may appear.
